Traded Pilots was founded by Emma greenfield and Sam Vance Law. The two of them have smiles on their faces and sorrow in their voices. Their music is melancholic, powerful, or as they describe it themselves: “weird canada beds northern folk”.
Director Stephan Talneau met them for the first time in 2011, where he saw them enchanting a “Washsalon” from Wedding, Berlin with their so special melodies. Since then, he followed them closely around Berlin, and when they started to climb the ladder by playing the supporting act for DEAR READER.
This films tells their story, the story of two musicians living together and creating the most beautiful work out of their relationship.
Last year the partners had to stop living together which was a challenge for the music spirit,
but it actually rose again when they have been joined by the Cellist ILLAY. Now the trio is about to release their first studio album.
Check them out, you won’t forget them.
